Christmas @ HOW-E

This year we hosted Christmas at HOW-E!

There was a total of eight of us plus the dogs; the weather here is quite unpredictable! We don't get the typical forecasted weather for Flagstaff since we are slightly East and there are multiple hills and craters surrounding us. Anyway, the week leading up to Christmas  had been so nice 50's/60's sunny etc so Casey spent the a good portion of one afternoon building a bag toss game.
(see pictures below)

I on the other hand, spent time decorating the bus & tree (which I made Casey relocate from another part of the yard and replant) and also maked homemade gifts for our family and neighbors!

We got rope solar lights and regular xmas solar lights

The  ORIGINAL  elf on the shelf from when I was a kid

Ornament from when I told Casey I was pregnant

Then comes Christmas morning! It was INCREDIBLY windy and snowing in the afternoon we of course don't have phone service here although we tried to call Casey's mom and sister to reschedule for the next day but it didn't go through.AND YES the next day was beautiful!! So everyone arrived and we spent some time touring the land and playing a few quick games of Bag a toss but the wind was just insane so we ended up in the bus most of the day! We had a fun time tho watching Jack open presents and enjoyed a great meal as well; cookies, ham, tamales, veggie salad, potato salad, pasta salad and more!

Christmas nap!

TIE and Bicycles!

Present from Mr. Evan Wexler! (Art Easel)

Present from Auntie Ariel

Auntie Katie and Uncle Andys present

Lincoln logs from Aunt Katie and Uncle Andy

and to end Christmas day we drew ornaments for next years Christmas! Secret Santa style BUT we made some rules:

MUST BE HOMEMADE
CAN BE SALVAGED OR REPURPOSED
YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SEEK HELP IN COMPLETING THE PRESENT
COULD NOT PICK YOURSELF OR SOMEONE YOU LIVE WITH

THE OTHER SIDE HAD THE INITIALS OF ONE PERSON

Before Christmas we headed down to Sedona for some fun; Christmas lights and dinner. Jack did much better with Santa number 2!

Well that was our Christmas we were able to Skype with my mom on Christmas Eve and I was able to talk to my Grandpa and Bill on Christmas afternoon. It was a great year in 2014 with lots of changes, challenges but it was quite rewarding!

My dad mailed Jack a really cool construction fort will hopefully post pictures of that soon and my mom send Jack these really cool long john type of PJs, a tractor and some much needed jeans. She hit the jackpot with presents for Casey and I!! Getting Casey another Buck knife (which he insists I lost the other...this maybe true...) and under armour and got me lots of Victoria Secret.

We are so blessed to have such great family and friends in our lives each and every year!
